Wednesday, March 30: Scripture – Luke 15:12
12 The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the property that will belong to me.’ So he divided his property between them.
Prayer Focus: The younger son asks for his inheritance. That essentially means, “Dad, give me now what I would get if you dropped dead today.” Presuming the death of your parents is not generally a great topic for maintaining good family relations. Yet, apparently the only response the father makes is to divide his property between his two sons. Note, he does not just give the younger son his share of the inheritance. He goes ahead and gives both sons their inheritance now. Pray that you might not react to difficult situations today. Pray that you might instead respond in ways to maintain relationships, if it is within your control to do so.
