1 Now all the tax collectors and sinners were coming near to listen to him.
2 And the Pharisees and the scribes were grumbling and saying, “This fellow welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
Prayer Focus: We continue our Lenten theme in a different way this week as we turn to a potentially familiar parable. It begins with the religious leaders of his day grumbling because Jesus spent time and even ate with tax collectors and sinners. I encourage you to think about who you eat with today. Would your dinner companions make anyone grumble? Pray that you might find a way to enjoy table fellowship with someone unexpected this week.
