Monday, February 28: Scripture – 1 John 1:1
1 We declare to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life—
Prayer Focus: This week at Unity Presbyterian Church we will begin the season of Lent and also our Stewardship efforts. The theme we will follow is “Love in Truth and Action” and our daily devotions and preaching texts will be drawn from the first letter of John. Today we read the first verse of this letter and it begins with a declaration about the word of life. Notice how many senses the Word engages – declaring with the lips what was heard, seen, looked at, and touched. Only thing missing is tasting the Word! Pray that you might engage your whole body in your worship of God today!
