Prayer Focus: After opening his prayer with a reminder about the character of God, Solomon asks the question at the heart of this temple dedication. Will God dwell on the earth? God who is enthroned in the glories of the heavens; God who created the heavens and the earth; God who is above all and in all and through all. Will this God dwell on the earth, much less in this house that Solomon built in Jerusalem? Pray that the God of the universe will draw near to you today. Pray that the Historic Sanctuary and the Courtyard will once again be a place of encounter between God and God’s people.
