Saturday, October 30: Scripture – Shall We Gather at the River
Prayer Focus: “Shall We Gather at the River” is a gospel song written in the 1860s. This acapella version captures both the march feel of the song and highlights the call and response nature of the verses and the chorus. The hymn draws its vision from Revelation 22 with the clear crystal river flowing from the throne of God. Today as you pray, give thanks for the gift of the human voice. It is the brightest instrument around and it is truly a gift from God. And look forward to the beautiful vision the hymn provides.
Remember – for the first time since the pandemic began, we will have significant congregational singing on Sunday. To do so as safely as possible, masks will be required this week.
