17 For I am about to create new heavens and a new earth; the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind.
18 But be glad and rejoice forever in what I am creating; for I am about to create Jerusalem as a joy, and its people as a delight.
Prayer Focus: In the final week of our series on the Annual Vision of Ministry, we come to our final verb: “forging new.” We return again to the prophet Isaiah and hear the promise of a new heaven and a new earth. As much as we want to hold onto things just as they have always been, we hear a call in these verses to be glad and rejoice forever in what God is creating. God is not finished with us yet. And we have the opportunity to join in forging new connections with Christ, with one another, and with our neighbors. Pray that you might join Christ in this work today.
