25 but a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit immediately heard about him, and she came and bowed down at his feet.
26 Now the woman was a Gentile, of Syrophoenician origin. She begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter.
Prayer Focus: What would you do for the health of your child? The Syrophoenician woman, a Gentile, hears about a traveling Jewish rabbi with the power to heal. So she comes to him and begs him to cast the demon out of her daughter. She crosses an established boundary because her daughter needs to be healed. What will you do today to protect the health of children and youth entrusted to your care? Will you put your needs aside and seek what is best for them? Pray that you might fall at the feet of Jesus on behalf of the children and youth of our church and community today.
