9 Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth; and the Lord said to me, “Now I have put my words in your mouth.
10 See, today I appoint you over nations and over kingdoms, to pluck up and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”
Prayer Focus: One of Jeremiah’s objections was that he did not know how to speak. In response, the Lord touches his mouth and puts the Word of the Lord in his mouth. The words Jeremiah speaks will no longer just be his own. God will speak through him. Pray that God might speak through you today. Pray that the words of your mouth might be the Word from the Lord that someone needs to hear today. Pray that even if it is a hard word, that you’ll have the courage to speak it.
