2 He will not cry or lift up his voice, or make it heard in the street;
3 a bruised reed he will not break, and a dimly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice.
Prayer Focus: We seem to live in a world where the ones who shout the loudest are the only ones who are heard. However, we hope not in the loudest, but in one who will not cry or lift up his voice in the street. We hope in one who cares even for broken reeds and dimly burning wicks. We hope in one who is faithful to the task of justice. Pray for those who pursue justice in quiet and dedicated ways. Pray for those who treasure and appreciate bruised reeds and dimly burning wicks.
