Prayer Focus: The Isaiah scripture texts included in our summer series, “A Word of Hope,” come from what is known as Second Isaiah. These words of hope are spoken by the prophet to the people living in exile in Babylon. In the scripture today we hear the promise of a servant, chosen by God. The servant will carry the Spirit of the Lord and bring justice to the nations. Pray for those who work to bring justice to the world today. Pray that they might carry the Spirit of the Lord.
