1 When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.
Prayer Focus: The Easter season ends with the Feast of Pentecost. When the day of Pentecost had some, the disciples were all together in one place. While we are more readily able to gather than last year, we need to recognize that we still will not all be gathered together in one place this year on Pentecost. Our love for one another means that we are still the church dispersed with Live on the Lawn, limited attendance in the sanctuary, and the church picnic today off campus at Bethelwoods. It would not be possible for us to be the church dispersed without the gift of the Holy Spirit shared with the disciples on that first Pentecost. As you pray, give thanks that the Holy Spirit continues to unite us as the church even though we are not all together in one place.
