4 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises.
5 Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody.
6 With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord.
Prayer Focus: The call of the psalmist is not to be perfect pitch in our song. We certainly appreciate those who sing well and give thanks to God for the choir members who are singing on our behalf in the sanctuary until we can sing on our own. But the psalmist just asks us to make a joyful noise. To join our hearts, minds, and voices with all the earth to make a joyful noise. Pray that you might not try for perfection today in your song; give yourself the freedom to make a joyful noise!
