Prayer Focus: As the procession begins from Bethany to Jerusalem, suddenly others are present in addition to the disciples. Many people spread their cloaks on the road. They are making the way as smooth as possible. Others spread leafy branches that they had cut in the fields. Just like the exchange about the donkey, this seems pre-arranged to me. If not, the crowd would have had to go out to the fields, cut the branches, and then return before Jesus traveled the less than two miles to Jerusalem on the colt. Being prepared to see Jesus cannot guarantee that we will see him, but it greatly increases the chances! Pray that you might be prepared to see Jesus when he shows up today.
