32 And what more should I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets— 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched raging fire, escaped the edge of the sword, won strength out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.
Prayer Focus: The judges and the prophets are listed next. Some by name and others who are included only through the faith of their actions. This great cloud of witnesses gives us a practical example of what it means to live by faith. For none of these things could the prophets or judges have done on their own. If we give our lives and our resources to God, amazing things can
happen. Pray that you might have the faith and courage to give your resources to God today and to expect that God will do something wonderful.
