4 And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, who were talking with Jesus. 5 Then Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; let us make three dwellings, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” 6 He did not know what to say, for they were terrified.
Prayer Focus: In addition to the transfigured Jesus, Elijah and Moses appear for a chat with Jesus. Peter did not know what to say for he, James, and John were terrified. But fear never
stopped Peter from talking, so he suggests that they build some dwellings – three of them. Not quite sure what the dwellings were for or why Jesus, Elijah, and Moses would want to reside in them. But this is Peter’s grand idea in the moment. Pray that you might just be still and quiet in the presence of God today. Be still and know the Lord. No talking aloud!
