Scripture – Exodus 32:14

14 And the Lord changed his mind about the disaster that he planned to bring on his people.

Prayer Focus: There are several occasions in the Old Testament where the scriptures record God changing the divine mind. It was the Greeks who believed that a god must be unchangeable. The God of the Hebrews could be moved by prayers and pleading. The God of the Hebrews could be reminded of the covenant and God’s fundamental character of faithfulness and love. Give thanks that God hears your prayers today and, through Christ, forgives and gives you another chance.
