13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have laid hold of it, but one thing I have laid hold of: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,
Prayer Focus: How often do we try to move forward in life while still looking behind us? Have you ever tried to run a race while your head is turned to look behind you over your shoulder? Do you think you will reach the finish line that way? The only way to press on toward our goal, according to Paul, is to strain forward to what lies ahead. Pray today that we might faithfully look forward together as the church in the world.
