Scripture – Philippians 3:12
12 Not that I have already obtained this or have already reached the goal, but I press on to lay hold of that for which Christhas laid hold of me.
Prayer Focus: Paul knows that he is not there yet…we are not there yet. Even with everything Paul has already done in his life, he does not pretend that somehow, he has earned the prize already above and beyond anyone else. And in acknowledging this, he is trying to illustrate that this is a communal race that we are all running together. This is not an individual event. We all share in pressing on towards the goal together. Pray this week that the Church might work together as the unified body of Christ.
