Scripture – Matthew 5:47

And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the gentiles do the same?

Prayer Focus: Jesus’ followers are called to love like Christ loves.  That means going out of our way to love and care for those who are labeled unlovable by society.  Jesus says that everyone already greets their own brothers and sisters…the way he calls us to live is to treat everyone we meet as if they were our brother or sister, because they are.  We are all siblings in Christ.  Pray today that the love you have for those close to you might be broadened to all those you encounter as well.
