Scripture – Matthew 5:34

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

Prayer Focus: It is so easy to love your friends and hate your enemy.  Today, all it takes is blocking someone on your cell phone or deleting them from your email or social media account.  Boom, they are gone, you never have to deal with them again.  More than ever, we have honed our skills at keeping plenty of space between us and those we disagree with.  But where has that gotten us?  Has hating ever made us more loving?  Pray today that we might recognize that God is calling us to be people of love, and that we would be open minded about what that might look like.
