Scripture – 2 Corinthians 5:16
From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view, we no longer know him in that way.
Prayer Focus: This week we are beginning our Lenten worship series, “Transformed by Love.” We begin with Paul’s words to the church in Corinth. This phrase that Paul uses, “human point of view,” means an inadequate or limited way of looking at others and the world. He is pointing out that human observations and judgments are clouded with prejudice and bias. Part of allowing ourselves to be transformed by Christ’s love is opening ourselves up to seeing people the way that Christ sees them. Pray this week that we might all seek to see one another from Christ’s point of view.
