Prayer Focus: Love comes down to bring good news to the oppressed. What might it mean that Isaiah sees bringing good news to the oppressed as the very first task of God’s anointed messiah? Perhaps it is a reminder that the good news of the gospel consistently comes to those most in need of it. There are many who find themselves oppressed by unjust systems in this world.
