Scripture – Matthew 24:42-43

42 Keep awake, therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.

43 But understand this: if the owner of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.

Prayer Focus: We are shifting into Advent language now as you’ll hear in these verses words we often say as we light the Advent Wreath: “Advent means coming.” We do not know on what day the Lord is coming. But the promise is that Jesus is coming. And when Jesus comes, love comes. Give thanks that love comes down and continues to be present in transforming ways among us even today.
