Scripture – Psalm 100:2

2  Serve the Lord with gladness;

    come into his presence with singing.

Prayer Focus: How do you prepare to come into God’s presence, say on Sunday mornings for worship? It might be that you’ve awakened early, had an extra cup of coffee, and are perfectly relaxed when you enter the sanctuary. Maybe your experience is barely getting shoes on your child, crumbs from breakfast on your pants, and barely sliding into the back pew as the first hymn reaches its last verse. If you’re the second, give yourselves a pat on the back because you still made it! Pray that you might have at least a moment of pause and a joyful song in your heart as you enter the presence of God.
