5 Yet you have made them a little lower than God
    and crowned them with glory and honor.

6 You have given them dominion over the works of your hands;
    you have put all things under their feet,

7 all sheep and oxen,
    and also the beasts of the field,

8 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea,
    whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

Prayer Focus: As we shift our gaze from the heavens to our human bodies, can we discover the same sense of awe and wonder? The psalmist wonders how the God who created the heavens can care for us. But I wonder if we might still find awe and wonder as we examine the creatures we are created to be. The way our cells and organs work in just the right harmony. The coordination of body and spirit. Even if all your body parts do not work in exactly the same way they once did, can you find awe and wonder in looking at your body? Spend a few moments in reflection and thanksgiving in your prayers today.
