1 O Lord, our Sovereign,
    how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.

2     Out of the mouths of babes and infants
you have founded a bulwark because of your foes,
    to silence the enemy and the avenger.

Prayer Focus: Our second scripture text for this week is Psalm 8. It is the first psalm of praise in the book of Psalms and interrupts a series of psalms of petition. Notice how this psalm does not ask God for anything at all. It is just a reflection of wonder and awe. How majestic is your name in all the earth, O Lord! Listen to the voices of children and infants today – can you hear the glory of God? Spend a few moments in reflection and thanksgiving in your prayers today.
