17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Prayer Focus: We often use this verse as a charge for mission teams or youth groups as they depart for a week of service or a conference. Whatever you do, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus. May everything you do be worthy of putting Jesus’ name on it. Be active, serve the Lord and others, love one another, all in the name of the Lord Jesus. As God’s word dwells in you and as you dwell in the word, may this be the life of faithful service that emerges.
