Prayer Focus: Have you ever heard the word Sabbath and thought social justice? In these words in verse 10 we find Sabbath demanding equality for all people. God commands not just us to rest as individuals on the Sabbath, but to make sure that we provide for the rest of others as well. Rest is not a luxury for the wealthy; it is a divine right to ALL of creation. And yet, so many people in the world are left working multiple jobs, or not having their basic needs met to even fathom the idea of rest. Pray today that the church might seek ways to work towards the rest of all of God’s creatures.
