Prayer Focus: We continue our series with the Book of Revelation this week with chapter 12. Of this chapter, Dr. Brian Blount has written, “John takes the time to do what he should perhaps have done at the very beginning: provide the narrative rationale for the movement of his visionary plot.” The visions of heavenly worship and earthly destruction that John has seen actually follow the events narrated in this chapter. And these first two verses are the Christmas story – the birth of the Messiah from God’s people. How might we hear the Christmas story in a new way today? Pray for ears to hear and eyes to see God’s word to us.
