1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind could blow on earth or sea or against any tree.
Prayer Focus: This is the third of three weeks with the Book of Revelation in the season of Easter. In today’s passage John continues to be in heaven seeing a vision, but this time it is a vision of what is happening upon the earth. The words “after this” indicate a new topic, not necessarily that the events will happen “after” in time. He sees four angels holding back the four winds of the earth. We cannot hold back the wind, but God can. Pray that you might turn over to God today the things which are truly out of your control and be encouraged that God can handle it.
