Prayer Focus: The wedding at Cana is the first of seven signs that Christ performs in John’s gospel. These signs provide insight into Jesus’s identity as the Messiah and reveal God’s character to us. In addition, each of these signs produce and embolden the faith of those who witness them, like that of the disciples described in this verse. What do you think comes next for those who have witnessed Christ’s signs? How are their lives and world transformed forever as a result of Christ’s glory? Can they ever see the world the same way again? Today, let us pray that we, like the disciples, may allow ourselves to be transformed. Let us pray that we may never again see the world as it once was, but instead, may we see the world as Christ would have it. Let us pray that our faith might spur us into faithful following that ushers in that new world. Amen.
