Nursery

Ages: Infant thru 4 years old

The Unity Nursery provides a safe and loving environment for young children while their parents participate in Worship, Sunday School and select events. We provide nursery during both the 8:45 am and 11:00 am Worship Services and during Sunday School (10:00 am – 10:45 am) on Sunday mornings.

Because we believe that consistency is important for children, we have talented and loving paid Nursery Caregivers present every Sunday. Collectively, they have faithfully served Unity's children for over 50 years!

The safety of your children is extremely important to us at Unity. Click here to view our Safe Place Policy.

Children In Worship

Ages: 4 years old (before Sept 1) thru 1st Grade

After the children’s message during both worship services, children are invited to participate in Children in Worship. CIW is a special place where children can come to encounter God, be still with God, listen to God and nurture their spiritual life. CIW is located in Room M206, click here to view the schedule.

Sunday School

Ages: 2 years old thru 5th Grade

Sunday school is offered each week for children ages 2 and up at 10:00am and is led by a team of caring adults. We seek to provide a place where children feel they belong and are important to the life of the church. In Sunday school, children learn through Bible stories, games and related activities and experience the love of Jesus Christ so they can share his love with others.

2nd Grade: Worship & Sacraments

Worship & Sacraments is a parent/child class offered during Sunday Night Live each fall. Children are invited to bring a parent for this class and will participate in interactive activities that expose children to the language of the sanctuary, the structure and meaning behind the parts of worship, and the wonder and mystery of the sacraments of baptism and communion. This class also offers parents many resources to use with their children as they continue to guide their children in actively participating in worship with our family of faith.

3rd Grade: Learning to Use My Bible

"Learning to Use My Bible" is offered during Sunday Night Live each fall and uses interactive activities to help children navigate the Bible by learning about the types of literature in the Bible, finding book, chapter and verse, and exploring how the Bible came to be. Children will be more comfortable using their Bible in worship, Sunday school and at home to read the stories of our faith and grow in discipleship after participating in this program.

4th & 5th Grade: Growing Christians: "GC's"

The "GC's" program is offered during Sunday Night Live each Fall and Spring to our children who attend a variety of elementary schools in the Fort Mill / Indian Land area as well as some private schools so your child will know someone and make new friends!

Focusing on building strong relationships with Christ at the center, GC's will build strong relationships with our church neighbors through mission and service and with each other through faith and fellowship.
