Dear Graduating Class of 2020…
While your final year to rule the school was cut short, we pray that you are able to see the blessing in this extra time at home with family before you head into the next chapter of your lives.
You were born in the shadow of the worst terrorist attack in our nation’s history and are set to graduate in the midst of a global pandemic, you are resilient. Life does not always go as planned and you will soon come to find that your plans don’t always matter, God’s do.
God has a plan for your life already mapped out and ready to be fulfilled. It will be filled with ups and downs, extreme excitement and unexpected disappointment but take the time to stop and smell the roses. Always remember your church family and that the doors at Unity Presbyterian Church are always open for you to come home – whether you visit us when you come home or join us for worship electronically wherever you are.
Pray. Be kind. Always brush your teeth.
How to Celebrate a High School Senior:
- Click here to view the Sunday, May 17 worship service as we celebrated our seniors electronically, including our traditional blanket blessings and prayers.
- Send an encouraging note to our seniors! You can write a note with your favorite guiding Bible verse or a word of congratulations by sending your note in an email to email@example.com. You can send a note addressed to the entire class or to individuals (see the list below); our team will compile these notes into a booklet that will be mailed to each graduate. The deadline for emails is Sunday, May 24.
- Pray for the class of 2020! You can find their names, bios, and pictures here!
