Study: Sweaty Sheep Devotions

Where: Front circle parking lot
When: Tuesdays at 6:30 pm for 8 weeks (9/22 start)

Using the Couch to 5K app, this group will meet for a devotion and the first of three weekly workouts provided on the app each Tuesday evening for an eight week period. Participants will complete the other two workouts on their own time later in the week. Each workout lasts approximately 30 minutes, beginning with mostly walking and is appropriate for those new to running.

Study: Praying in the Messiness of Life by Linda Doughty

Where: Zoom
When: Tuesdays at 7:30 pm for 6 weeks (9/15 start)

This small group is appropriate for moms looking for a place to grow in their own faith so they can share that faith with their children. Providing a safe place to share the concerns of this particularly messy time in our lives with other moms, we will try out some new prayer practices to help bring peace in our everyday lives.

Study: Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again by Rachel Held Evans

Where: Preschool/Nursery Parking Lot
When: Tuesdays at 7:00 pm for 6 weeks (9/15 start)

This small group will read together the book, and have weekly in-person, socially distanced, group discussions. Participants will grapple with what it means to say that the Bible is inspired and discover that “the Bible is not a static work, but is a living, breathing, captivating, and confounding book that is able to equip us to join God’s loving and redemptive work in the world.”

Study: Feasting on the Word

Join the Unity Sunday school class for a conversation about one of the lectionary scripture texts for the day. This class of adults of all ages is open to anyone interested in learning more about scripture in community with others.


Study: A Bigger Table: Building Messy, Authentic & Hopeful Spiritual Community

When: Sundays from 4:00 – 5:00 pm (Start 9/13) via Zoom

This class reads books together that provide discussions that connect our faith with cultural issues of the day. Participants covenant to be respectful of others’ views, to listen, and to share how they see God speaking to the church today. This class of adults of all ages is open to anyone willing to read and discuss how faith connects to our everyday life.


Study: Unafraid by Adam Hamilton (Fall) The Way (Spring)

When: Mondays 10:15 – 11:45 am in the Youth Wing Parking Lot (Start 9/14)

This small group has been studying scripture together for over 12 years. They commit to pray for each other and study together.


Study: Broken and Blessed by Jessica Lagrone (6 weeks) & Unafraid by Adam Hamilton (5 weeks)

When: Tuesdays 10:00 am in the Youth Wing Parking Lot (Start 9/15)

This women’s small group has been studying scripture together for several years, beginning by using the Disciple Bible Study materials. They commit to pray for each other and study together.


Study: 1st, 2nd and 3rd John Bible Study

When: 1st Tuesday of the month at 10:00 – 11:30 am in the outside conversation area by the Narthex

This once a month, small group, women’s study will read and discuss the books of 1st, 2nd and 3rd John. Participants take turns leading the lessons. Because they are meeting outside on campus, there is a limit of 15 participants. Contact Judy Cowell, if interested, to assure there is room and to receive study materials.


Study: Reading a variety of fiction & nonfiction books

When: 2nd Thursday of the month at 10:00 am via Zoom

The Ladies of Unity Book Club chooses a different book to read and discuss each month, alternating between fiction and nonfiction. For September, participants are asked to come to discuss Truths I Never Told You by Kelly Rimmer and a beach read of your choice.

Study: Invitation to the Old Testament (finish last 3 lessons) Invitation to the New Testament (8 weeks)

When: Wednesdays at 9:00 – 10:00 am (Start 9/16) via Zoom

This small group is open to any man available during the day for a Zoom study. This fall, the group will complete the overview of the Old Testament they began in the spring and then do an 8 week overview of the New Testament. Members of the class share teaching responsibilities. New participants welcome to join the group at the beginning of the New Testament study.
