Health & Wellness

Our mission at Unity is to provide support and encouragement for the health, well-being, and wholeness of our congregation. This group recognizes the integral relationship between body, mind, and spirit, as we strive to be the persons God calls us to be. When we are well, we help others be well.

Blood Pressure Checks

One way we encourage wellness is by having nurses available on various Sunday’s throughout the year to assist our congregation in monitoring their blood pressure.

CPR/AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Classes

In the case of cardiac arrest, knowing how to perform CPR can save the life of a loved one, friend or child! Immediate CPR and AED use can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival. We offer CPR / AED classes periodically throughout the year.

Medical Equipment Closet

If you are in need of medical equipment for a short while, we have wheelchairs, walkers, canes, bedside commodes and other equipment you may use and return to the Medical Closet.

Line Dancing

The group meets weekly in the Fellowship Hall from 10:15-11:15. New dancers are always welcome. Dances include fox trot, waltz and cha-cha, steps, as well as more traditional country dance moves. This fall, some martial arts moves will also be incorporated. The class is free and no sign-up is necessary. Call Susan Benfield at 802-5960 with questions or more information.

First Aid Kits

First Aid Kits located at the reception desk of Sanctuary, Church Office, Unity Hall and Fellowship Hall Kitchens, and the Nursery area.

Fitness Activities

Fitness activities and classes are offered intermittently through the year to encourage an active, healthy lifestyle.

Infertility and Support Network
