Go MAD Day is an Intergenerational Mission Blitz for ALL AGES (ages 4 and up) and offers participants the opportunity to serve locally while building community with others of all ages in our congregation.

 Nursery Registration is done with each project registration!

Our schedule for the day is as follows:

  • 8:00 am Pick up breakfast, announcements, introductions & devotion (Fellowship Hall) 
  • 8:30 am Participants leave for sites 
  • 9:00-12:00 Mission projects & reflection at the sites

** Children 4 years of age-5th grade must register for a project with an adult. Youth in grades 6-12 may register independently for projects for which they meet the age requirement.

Projects: 

  • Children’s Attention Home (Limit 10)
    Participants will make a meal for the children at the Children’s Attention Home and deliver it to the home in Rock Hill in time for lunch. REGISTER HERE

  • Church Workday
    Projects include: spreading mulch and pine straw, weeding, repotting outdoor containers, pressure washing outdoor areas and raking preschool playground to rid area of sticks. REGISTER HERE

  • Classroom Ready (age 10 & up. Limit 15)
    Participants will be making sharpie bags for teachers and sorting school supplies. REGISTER HERE

  • Cookie Baking for Kairos Prison Ministry (Limit 30)
    Volunteers will bake and decorate cookies and make placemats that will be donated to the Kairos Prison Ministry serving the Kershaw Correctional Institution. REGISTER HERE

  • Family Promise Headquarters (Limit 15)
    Projects may include yardwork around the garden and playground, painting and/or organizing donations. REGISTER HERE

  • Habitat Workday (age 16 & up, Limit 12)
    Volunteers will be doing exterior painting at a home in Rock Hill. REGISTER HERE

  • Humane Society of York County
    Volunteers will make dog & cat toys to deliver to the shelter. REGISTER HERE

  • Hymn Sing @ Wellmore
    Participants will drive to Wellmore to sing and visit with the residents. REGISTER HERE

  • Tender Hearts Thrift Store (age 14 & up, Limit 15)
    Projects will include sorting donations, putting donations on shelves, and cleaning at the Rock Hill thrift store, which supports a shelter for women and children in crisis. REGISTER HERE

  • Yard Work for Seniors
    This group will be divided into smaller teams and sent out to do simple yardwork and basic maintenance for senior members of our congregation. Projects may include raking leaves, picking up sticks, or changing light bulbs and vent filters, etc. REGISTER HERE
