Tuesday, August 8- Scripture: 1 Kings 19:10
10 Elijah answered, “I have been very zealous for the Lord, the God of hosts, for the Israelites have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I alone am left, and they are seeking my life, to take it away.”
Prayer Focus: Ever need to rant? Perhaps you have a friend…the one you can always call, text, sit with, when you need to just let it all out? Did you know that God can take our ranting too? Those moments of life when we are at the breaking point, when we don’t know what to do with how we feel. Elijah is on a ranting spree here, and he knows that God is the best rant listener around. Pray today that you might turn to God, especially when you feel like ranting, God wants to hear your prayers.
